Fashion Knots have always been in style but they are coming back in full force in 2019. When it comes to the top fashion trends we will be seeing in 2019, the list does not end with Fashion Knots. There are lots of new styles and returning styles that started to make a comeback by fall 2018 and so it’s obvious that 2019 will see them take over in full force! Let’s discuss some of the exciting fashion trends below and how we can include them into our existing closet and style.
The Tweed CoatTweed has been around for a while, and even though I don’t personally like it (I hate crochet even more) tweed is making a comeback in the form of coats and even two-piece sets. Tweed does bring a sense of warmth and coziness so it’s great for fall and winter as it’s also perfect for layering.
The Sherpa Vest
In addition to the black blazers, the sherpa vest has been making a comeback as a cover piece to simple outfits or combined with other trendy pieces of clothing. It’s great for layering and is usually has a good length thus making it a great outfit for the cold. It can be paid with denim pants and a turtleneck or with a deep neck long-sleeved blouse for a fun night out.
The Black Blazer
To be honest, the black blazer never really went out of style. It’s a closet staple because of t’s versatility. It can be styled with almost anything and looks good always. It’s on this list because it never went out of style and because it’s been photographed more than usual lately.
Just like plaid flora prints saw a huge comeback in 2017 and by fall of 2018 they evolved to other kinds of prints like geometry prints and exaggerated patterns. Exaggerated prints are great because they elevate an outfit and make your standout. They are also great to pair with colorful accessories like cute red boots with a patterned dress that has a hint of red would be a great standout outfit.
Long Sleeved Dresses
The long sleeved dress trend is a symptom of a vibe of fashion that has been going around. The longsleeved dress is a great dress to have because it’s versatile and can be dressed either up or down. It can be worn with a sweater for a casual vibe and you can throw a blazer over it for a cocktail party or fancy dinner. You can match it with different accessories depending on how cold or warm the weather is. It also goes perfectly with sneakers or high-heeled boots.
Mock Neck Sweater
The Mock neck sweater has become a lot more popular of late because of how easy it is to layer and also because it goes well with some of the ongoing trends like two-piece suits and oversized sweaters. It is an excellent wardrobe staple to have for both casual outfits and more official settings like the office.
The Wrap Skirt
One will think that the wrap skirt will be more popular in the summer months but it’s the fall months that have seen more instances of wrap skirts being paid with tights underneath and completed with white sneakers and also being worn with long sleeved crop tops. They can also be paid with knee-high boots which always translate into a trendy and fashionable look.
Gray joggers is a booming fashion trend as a result of the combination of the continuing athleisure wear trend, and the new minimalist and grey color tones trend. It is a substantial street style wear that can be styled with lots of things and is super comfortable. Some even come in textured fabrics that make them look more official and it’s always great to have that option.
Oversized Sweater Dress
The oversized sweater was also a trend that had huge prominence in 2017 and it is still ongoing. And people love it so much it has been extended to the sweater dress. The sweater dress usually comes with pockets so it was easy for it to steal the hearts of everyone. It’s a comfortable and chic look that looks good on anyone.
Collared Shirt Dress
A collared shirt dress is just another symptom of the menswear-inspired but comfortable style. It is chic and can be thrown on without much thought but always looks good. It can also be paired with sneakers, booties, and even flats. It also comes in different colors and patterns making it more fun to dress up in.
The Plaid Suit
Plaid came into the fashion scene in full force around fall of 2017. It dominated 2018 and it is set to dominate 2019 too. Now trending is the plaid suit. The plaid suit can be seen as a combination of two trends – Two pieces and plaid. The plaid suit is an extension of the plaid blazer trend and so since two pieces have become a trendy thing as well (see below) it’s no surprise that these two trends have merged together. There’s no doubt this trend has a way of making the wearers always looking cool and put together. It’s a great office attire and also looks great for casual outings with sneakers, or for parties when paid with party shoes.
